Campsite Conundrums
A Strengths Adventure
Campside Conundrums is a fun, 3D story-based game where you get to choose your adventure while also learning about yourself and your strengths! Based on the CliftonStrengths Assessment’s 34 unique talent groups, the player will get to select their top 5 strengths and make decisions based on them (or if they don’t know them, whichever ones resonate the most with them)! Eventually, the game will feature dozens of scenarios for the player to solve, a points system detailing their priorities in every scene, and a survey after every scenario gauging fulfillment.
This was a Hackathon Project done by myself and three others in my freshman year at Georgia Tech. We had 36 hours to code, and we chose to make this game for others struggling to see the application of their Clifton Strengths.

I am the overall project leader, artist, and backend programmer.
What Did I Do and What am I Doing Now?

What's Next?
As this game was quickly created within a Hackathon, there are still several bugs to fix. There are also several animation cycles to implement, more sprites to create, and, overall, more scenarios and UI/UX left.
What Have I Learned So Far?
I've never used Blender before, so animating and exploring the software was something I didn't expect to enjoy as much as I did. I also did a lot of backend programming, so I learned a lot about abstraction and creating useful classes in a hands-on manner. I also learned a lot about Git and version control - I had the main branch on my team, so committing the right pull requests without any drastic changes for different members working on the same scene was very painful but a very valuable learning experience. For my soft skills, I learned how to access a situation and immediately come up with a plan on the fly. I wanted to make sure everyone got a chance to do everything they wanted, and I (hopefully) succeeded in that regard. I'm thankful to all my teammates - Sophia, Tanisha, and Ella - for their hard work during the Hackathon, and I'm excited to see where this project takes us!
